How to see your ping in Genshin Impact

HoYoverse does not document this.

How to change server in Genshin Impact

On PC, iOS, Android and Xbox you pick the server on the login screen before you enter the game. Each server keeps its own separate progress, and HoYoverse does not move accounts between servers, so switching means starting again on the other server. On PlayStation the game picks the server from your PSN account region.

Where the Genshin Impact servers are

Genshin Impact has four servers: America, Europe, Asia and one for Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macao. HoYoverse does not say which cities host them. Your progress lives on the server you picked and cannot be moved, and co-op only works with friends on the same server. On PlayStation your PSN account region decides the server: Americas to America, Europe, Africa and the Middle East to Europe, Asia outside mainland China and Oceania to Asia. HoYoverse runs no public status page.

What HoYoverse says about ping

HoYoverse publishes no ping figure or advice for Genshin Impact.

Our test reads its own bands next to that: Excellent under 40 ms, Good 40 to under 80 ms, Playable 80 to under 130 ms, Poor 130 ms and above. These are our lines, not HoYoverse's.

What our test reads for Genshin Impact

  • The result reads Genshin Impact's own 4 measured areas. Pick the region you play on, or the test takes the best one by steadiness, then by time.
  • Your account's region decides which servers you can use. Pick it under Region you play on, or the result assumes you can play on the best area.
  • The North America Central test point is in Ohio. HoYoverse gives no city for America.
