What the site does

You tap Run. For about 10 seconds your browser times small requests to public test points in 20 game server regions. The page then shows the round trip to each region and one verdict for the region you play on: close and stable, close but unstable, far from the servers, or cross region.

Around the test sit pages for each game (where its servers are and how to change server in it), pages for each region, and short guides to the fixes that work at home.

What it is not

Why Is My Ping is a measurement tool and a reference. It is not a game booster, a VPN or an internet provider, and it never promises a ping. It times HTTPS requests to test points near each region, not to your game's own servers, and every result says so.

Where the facts come from

  • Server regions, how to see your ping and how to change server come from each publisher's own pages: support articles, patch notes and news posts. Each game page lists them with the date we read them.
  • The test points are Amazon Web Services endpoints that answer a short request from any browser. The data page lists them.
  • A fact a publisher does not publish shows as not published. We do not fill a gap with an estimate.

Why most results say there is nothing to buy

A player close to the servers on a steady line gains little from any product, and the result says Nothing to buy here in those words. A route optimizer can help a player who is far from the servers or plays on a region elsewhere, and only those results show one. How we make money explains the link.
