How to see your ping in Escape from Tarkov

The Battlestate Games launcher shows the response time of each game server in its server selection.

How to change server in Escape from Tarkov

In the launcher, leave server selection on automatic or select the several servers that show the smallest ping figures. In a squad the leader's launcher picks the server, so Battlestate Games advises every squad member to select the same set of servers.

Where the Escape from Tarkov servers are

Battlestate Games does not publish a list of Escape from Tarkov server locations. The launcher shows each server's response time, and you can select the ones you want or leave it on automatic. The region printed on your purchase only controls where the game can be launched and what it costs, not which servers you play on. Squads play on the server the leader's launcher picks, so a squad spread across continents can mean a high ping for the members far from that server.

Battlestate Games publishes no list of Escape from Tarkov server locations, so this page names no region and the test times all of them.

What Battlestate Games says about ping

Battlestate Games publishes no millisecond threshold. It says the game needs a good connection, links disconnects to packet loss and long delay, and says most disconnects come from an unsuitable server picked in the launcher. A separate article names far away servers with a long response time as one cause.

Our test reads its own bands next to that: Excellent under 40 ms, Good 40 to under 80 ms, Playable 80 to under 130 ms, Poor 130 ms and above. These are our lines, not Battlestate Games'.

What our test reads for Escape from Tarkov

  • Battlestate Games does not say where the servers are, so the result is a general one over every region, and says so.
